Grace in Bloom is a reflection of both art and teaching. Like these roses with their beautiful, overlapping petals, they resemble the growth and unfolding beauty of art, blooming my students like a rose bud into beautiful, blooming roses. As I teach watercolor, I don't just teach the basics and how to paint, but these roses remind me of hope. Hope - I give to aspiring artists that they can do beautiful masterpieces, and the overlapping petals that, as they grow, become more beautiful. As an art teacher, I plant seeds of hope in aspiring artists, and that hope can bloom at any stage of their growth. Mistakes are also learning opportunities that can be improved upon or blossom into something beautiful. I hope this painting can inspire other teachers to teach with passion, parents to teach their children with creativity and patience, and mentors to inspire more people to be like them.
